Driving tour – Copper Corridor with the X Chapter

September 21 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Are you ready for a drive round the copper mines east of Phoenix? Then join us on this jaunt we call the Copper Corridor.

We encourage X Chapter members, anyone with a BMW X vehicle, and BMWs of any model to join us as we meet up for lunch. This is also a relay hand off with the Sonora Chapter in support of an exciting collaboration with the X Chapter cross-country road trip, X Drives America!  In addition to registering at the green “Register for Event!” button below, if you like you can also register for the X Drives America event ($35) and you’ll get a T-shirt and commemorative gift.

Registrations are closed for this event

Register using the green Register for Event! button above to reserve your spot for the event. Be sure to include first names for all attendees so we can ensure that each participant will receive their lanyard. Wait a minute after clicking once on the Submit button to allow the system time to process your request – you will receive a confirming message and an email.

We will start our drive in Apache Junction at the Chevron Station near the 60 freeway. We will proceed east to Superior where we will turn south on Highway 177 to Kearny, Hayden and Winkelman. We shall pause in Winkelman at the Speedway Station. We will then proceed north on Highway 77 to Pinal Pass for photos and then drive down the hill to the stop sign. We then turn left on Ash Street and drive through Globe, continuing on Broad Street. When we reach the Fry’s grocery store on the right, we will continue straight for a short distance and proceed to our lunch destination – Copper Bistro (which is on our left).

After lunch participants can join the Sonora chapter members on their next leg on Highway 60 and 260 to Greer; drive north on Highway 188 to Roosevelt lake and return to the valley on the Beeline or drive southwest to the valley on Highway 60.
